“Senator Kouchi is a true visionary leader. The diversity of Hawai`i is reflected in our childhood memories of the tastes and aromas of our food. He understands that the growth and development of Hawai'i Regional Cuisine is in the creative blending of our past with an innovative approach. Thank you, Ron for all that you do!”
“He is experienced and knowledgeable. Ron has provided us with excellent representation and has always addressed the needs and issues of our community. He has been a tremendous advocate for rural health care. My vote is for Senator Ron Kouchi and I encourage everyone to join me!“

"He listens to all views. He knows how important fishing is to our way of life, to sustain our families and as part of our daily meals. Ron sees the big picture. He represents us and works with the County, State and Federal Government to find the balance and common ground. Most our businesses would not have survived without him. Vote for Ron Kouchi!"
"Uncle Ron supports me in everything that I do whether it's buying my animal for 4H, helping me fundraise for volleyball and wrestling, or inspiring me to do my best in school. He is someone that I can always count on and I am so thankful for all he does for me."
"Growing up in Waimea, I got to know Ron from a very young age as both of our parents were friends. I trust Ron and appreciate his willingness and boldness to take a stand even though it's not the most popular thing to do."

“Ron works hard to help small businesses and create more jobs. At the same time, he also knows that we need more affordable housing programs for our working families. With his experience in the private sector, with the community, and government, he successfully fought to get the funds for the Lima Ola Affordable Housing Project. We need Ron in the Senate!”
"We took our concerns about the terrible condition and safety issues with the Kaua'i Raceway Park to Ron. He worked with us and the Dept. of Land & Natural Resources to make major improvements. Now, the Kaua'i Raceway Park is the envy of our State. It is an alcohol free zone, a safe and friendly environment for the adults and our kids for the whole family! Thank you Senator Kouchi!"
"Ron's proven to be effective and goal-oriented. He was successful in getting the Care Act adopted which will help families care for their loved ones and their Kupuna. Ron's got my vote, we need him to continue doing his good work!"
"I've known Ron for over 20 years and as long as I've known him, he has always been a great leader with Kaua`i and Ni'ihau in his heart. As Senate President, he makes sure that our concerns are heard and works hard to get results. I'm voting for Ron!"
"Ron has always supported funding for the health, safety and welfare of our community."
It has been my privilege to represent you in the Hawai’i State Senate for the past six years. In 2015, I was honored by my fellow Senators to be elected as the Senate President. While this new position requires me to serve the entire State, Kaua’i and Ni’ihau will always be where my heart and my home is. It is my hope that as the Senate President, I am able to bring Kaua’i, Ni’ihau and neighbor island issues to the forefront.
I believe now, is the time to invest in our roads, our water systems, and our infrastructure to create jobs and a firm foundation for our quality of life. Now, is the time to invest in preserving our environment, clean energy, and new economic growth. And equally important, now, is the time to invest in education to equip our children to meet the opportunities of the future.
Working with my fellow Kaua’i Legislators, this year, Kaua’i will receive $114 million dollars to invest in our schools, roads, highways, bridges, affordable housing, social services and more.
Please help me fulfill the promise of opportunity for our children’s tomorrow. I humbly ask for your support to continue to serve you. I look forward to hearing from you and speaking with you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Mahalo Nui Loa,
8th District (Kaua’i and Ni’ihau)
