The Honorable Ronald D. Kouchi
President of the Senate
Thirty-First State Legislature
State Capitol, Room 409
Honolulu, Hawaiʻi 96813

Aloha Senator Kouchi:

I am pleased to let you know that my administration has released funding for the following Capital Improvement Project (CIP):

  • Name: Lump Sum Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation, Improvements and Renovations, Kauaʻi
  • Description: This project will provide additional construction funds to renovate the CT scan room to accommodate the installation of a CT scanner at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, Kauaʻi.
  • Amount Released: $1,529,165.00

Mahalo for your work on behalf of the residents of your district to secure these funds. Projects such as these are critical components of the public infrastructure and contribute to building a better home for our kūpuna, keiki, and all the residents of Hawaiʻi.

A list of released CIP and CIP Grants-in-Aid (GIA) will be emailed once a month.

By working together, we can solve the great challenges of our time, create a more sustainable Hawaiʻi, and establish the Hawaiian Islands as a place that future generations will choose to call home.

With warmest regards,
David Y. Ige
Governor, State of Hawaiʻi
